The Stephen Joseph Theatre Company in

a number

Bernard's life is thrown into turmoil when he discovers he has been cloned. Questioning his father, Salter, Bernard delves into his past to reveal a series of unpredictable twists and turns and decisions which have had irreversible consequences for him and his 'brothers'.

What is it like to be one of a number? And are they truly identical? Is it possible to capture something perfect?

Set in the near future, this intriguing play explores the 'nature versus nurture' debate and dares to ask the unanswerable questions that strike at the very heart of what it means to be human.

"What a tremendous play this is, moving, thought-provoking and dramatically thrilling"
The Daily Telegraph
