Scarborough Theatre Trust Ltd, a registered charity and the body responsible for the Stephen Joseph Theatre, receives funding from central government via Arts Council England - Yorkshire, Scarborough Borough Council and North Yorkshire County Council.

Less than half of our annual income is through funding aid. The remainder is made up of self-generated income, mostly through the Box Office and other sales, along with sponsorship, fundraising and donations from individuals and companies.
