InterACT

The SJT young promoters scheme is up and running with students from Scalby School, Raincliffe School, Woodlands School, Springhead School, Welburn Hall, Scarborough Sixth Form College and Yorkshire Coast College. For those schools not yet involved the idea is that you volunteer two of your students to act as SJT representatives. They will then be invited to attend press nights of all the SJT productions and treated as press. We then hope that they will review the shows and these critiques be posted on the SJT website and your own schools website. The InterACT representatives will also be asked to act as ambassadors for the theatre finding opportunities to encourage their peers to attend plays and events at the SJT.

If you wish to add two of your students to this exciting scheme then contact Cheryl Govan on 01723 370540.

Tours

The SJT Education Department offer free tours to any educational/community groups. Why not join us and see how the theatre works from backstage. Educational, historical, and really quite exciting.

Work Experience

The SJT offer work experience placements to any Year 10 and above student and members of the community wishing to explore a career in the theatre or just to experience it form the other side– we get booked up very quickly taking around 55 placements each year so book a slot early to avoid disappointment.
