Performing Area 6070mm x 6495mm.
3 Vom entrances variable widths: 1240mm, 1770mm, 2310mm.
Stage to Trampoline Mesh 5400mm (Stage to LX bars 6400mm)
Seating capacity: 406. This will reduce according to Vom widths and sightlines.
Access
There are several ways of accessing the stage for set and props.
a) Small flight cases (or larger ones that may be tipped on their side) = 8 person passenger lift.
b) Medium sized items = Rear fire escape onto Hanover Road. Comprises one flight of concrete stairs. Door opening is 2.06m x 0.84m.
c) Large Items = Front of house stairs through pass door OR through the workshop fire exit (2.00m x 1.4m ) to the Stage Lift.
NB. Use of the stage lift is by prior arrangement only. At certain times operation of the stage lift is impossible.
If you have any doubts about a particular item, then please contact the Production department with dimensions.
Stage area
Possible surfaces - Basic black MDF floor. Blue carpeted floor.
The surface of the stage, and the voms can usually be fixed into (with the exception of the carpeted floor) but it is advisable to check with the production office first.
Flying
There are no facilities for flying, however some lightweight objects may be suspended from the grid. This facility is only available by prior arrangement.
Backstage Area
The backstage area is known as the RunRound. There is ample storage area for props, set and wardrobe items, and 2 quick-change areas can be provided. All scenic items must be appropriately fire proofed. The offstage ends of the voms are 7.5cm higher than the rest of the runaround. Masking at the back of the voms can be provided to suit your requirements.
Control Room
Is situated opposite Vom 1, at the back of the auditorium and houses LX & Sound op, as well as the DSM.
Band Area
Comprises a sealed room with windows adjacent to the control room.
Dressing Rooms
There are four communal dressing rooms (2 male & 2 female) situated off the Green Room. There are either one or two flights of stairs between them and the stage, depending on which dressing room you are in. Disabled access is via FOH passenger lift.
