Chief Technician
The Stephen Joseph Theatre requires a Chief Technician to run the technical (lighting and sound) department within the building's two theatres, and on tour.
The department consists of a Chief Technician, a Deputy and Assistant Technician, and a Projectionist.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in a similar post, will have a good grounding in technical theatre and have the ability to demonstrate their management skills.

Front of House staff
We recruit ushers on an ongoing basis throughout the year; application forms are available from the Box Office and Reception.
Completed applications are held on file until a vacancy arises when suitable candidates will be contacted for interview.
Our main recruiting periods are Easter and September.

Casting
Casting Director Sarah Hughes is not resident at the SJT. Casting normally takes place only 2-3 times a year. Please note that unsolicited CVs/photos/show reels etc will only be returned with a SAE to the same value as the original. You may prefer to e-mail Sarah Hughes if you want to invite her to cover your work. Invitations to view productions or programmes will only be acknowledged should she be able to attend.
