BA (Hons) Acting

CU Scarborough's new BA (Hons) Acting degree, is run in partnership with the SJT.

In a bid to champion access for all, the three-year course will introduce a dynamic new auditioning process which will be free to prospective students, removing some of the early financial barriers experienced by prospective drama students.

In this unique partnership, CU Scarborough students will work with SJT professionals at points throughout the programme - including mentoring, observation of professional rehearsals, and participation onstage in a professionally-directed piece for theatre.

The degree, which is due to begin in September 2019, aims to produce proactive professional actors by training students in acting for stage, TV and radio as well as introducing them to various non-traditional techniques such as presenting, corporate role-play, vlogging and acting for gaming.
