Hen began under the Sonia Friedman/Channel 4 Playwrights' Scheme.

Arriving at a cottage on the slopes of the Welsh mountain, Cadair Idris, Lucy is expecting a Hen weekend of cock balloons, drinking games and some good stories. But the unexpected arrival of Lucy's mother is the first of many unwelcome surprises as a great storm engulfs the mountain and the Hens are cut off with only prosecco and their own secret struggles with depression, ambition, love and deep Hen rage. Yet the silent power of the mythical Welsh mountain is the strongest force at work, and the local Welsh story teller transforms the weekend into a very different kind of party.

Lily is an actor and writer, she trained at RADA. Her writing includes Bride (Old Vic, New Voices); The French Welcome (Globe Theatre); Stephen and the Sexy Partridge with Finnian O'Neill (Trafalgar Studios); Talking to Strangers with Sally Phillips (Soho Theatre) which became a BBC Radio 4 comedy series . Her play Pheasant Plucker was published by Samuel French and Zoo by Nick Hern Books. She has recently been commissioned to write a new play, Laura Macbeth.
