5 week acting masterclass course on acting technique based around the upcoming production of Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis. This includes time with one or more of the professional company and a ticket to see the show.
What will I be doing?
Using different theatre practitioner techniques to explore many possible ways to go from page to stage as possible, from Stanislavski to Le Coq.
Who will be running it?
These sessions will be facilitated by Laura Hawley who is a Creative Practitioner who works nationally and internationally as a Quality Assurance Manager (Creative and Performing Arts and Music) and Performing Arts Practitioner and Examiner. Laura completed her BA (Honours) degree in Theatre and English at the University of Ulster, and her Master of Arts in Theatre and Contemporary Practice from the University of Hull. She has a PGCE (education and training/adults) from the University of Greenwich and has professional QTS. Laura created Bygone Productions, a Reminiscence Theatre Company that created bespoke performance for specialist audience and has wide experience in directing and acting. Laura is a specialist in delivering performance technique workshops in a wide variety of styles and genres.
