Private Fears in Public Places is the second Ayckbourn film adaptation from Resnais, thirteen years on from Smoking/No Smoking. The original play was described by the playwright as a movie set on stage which seems quite fitting for it then to be adapted onto the big screen.

The story explores themes of allienation and loneliness in the 21st Century as it follows the lives and relationships of six loosely linked people in London.

Screened in French with English Subtitles.
