We are continually looking to improve our customer experience at the SJT including reviewing our pricing. In the past the cheapest seats were often on the back row, and the most expensive seats on the aisles or in the middle. It’s very similar in lots of theatres around the UK.
However, we found a couple of issues - firstly we’d often have a full back row and the centre of the auditorium would be full but the experience wasn’t always great for either the audience or the actors - secondly our really loyal bookers, who book early, often weren’t getting rewarded…
Our new pricing should help our audience get the best for less and improve their experience:
> Our cheapest seats (£10) are now on or near the front row
> 10% of the seats for every production are now at £10.
> Seats get more expensive the further back you sit and as demand increases.
> The atmosphere and experience of each performance is much better for audience and actor alike.
> If you need to access seats that are not currently on sale for mobility or access issues please speak to our box office team.
> Prices are no longer fixed (they may go up) so it’s important to book early!
> Last minute tickets may be more expensive.
We hope this helps explain some of our changes - please speak to our friendly box office team who will be happy to explain in more detail.
